Paul Joe ElizaldaPaul Joe Elizalda, 55, of Ventura, went to be with our Lord August 13, 2004 in Needles, California. Paul was born in Oxnard on May 31, 1949 to Inez and Vicente Elizalda.Paul was a lifelong resident of Ventura County, only recently moving to Needles. His family will always remember his love for music, dancing, and for old cars, once being a member of The Oldies Car Club in Santa Paula.He will be greatly missed by his family. He is survived by his daughters, Irene Elizalda of Ventura and Starr Elizalda of Santa Paula and son Robert Maldonado Jr. of Newbury Park; grandchildren, Joseph Pacheco, and Robert and Nina Maldonado; sisters, Laura Ortiz of Oxnard, Lupe Garcia and Mary Guerra of Ventura; brother Richard Elizalda of Chula Vista; and the love of his life Christine Elizalda of Santa Paula; nieces, Deanna, Cathy, Ruth, Andrea and Michele; and nephews, Pablo, Anthony, Robert and Joseph.Visitation will be on Sunday, August 22 from 2 p.m. with recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Garcia Mortuary, 629 S. A St., Oxnard. Interment will be at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park at 3 p.m. on Monday, August 23.Tony R. GomezTony R. Gomez, 77, Oxnard, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2004 following a lengthy illness. Edward P. Lopez
Edward P. Lopez, 51, of Port Hueneme, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2004 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was born July 30, 1953 in Ventura and was a lifelong county resident. He worked for 15 years as a pesticide technician.Mr. Lopez is survived by his sons, John Julian Lopez of Santa Paula and Carlos “Huero” Lopez of Ventura; daughters, Patricia Irene Lopez of Ventura and Sofia Luna of Port Hueneme; grandson John Julian Lopez, Jr. of Santa Paula; sister Evelyn Lopez of Ventura; and brother Rupert Lopez of Port Hueneme.Visitation was scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. August 19 at Chapel of Angels, 600 E. Pleasant St., Santa Paula. He was a lifelong resident of Santa Paula. At the time of his death he was employed as a carpenter.Wayne is survived by his wife Debra; sons Michael and Thomas; mother and stepfather Merlene and Robert Givan; brothers Leonard (wife Charlene) and Steven (wife Patricia); sister Willow; father- and mother-in-law, Ray and Toni Willeford; brother-in-law Carl Willeford and sister-in-law Barbara Willeford; stepbrother Doug Givan and stepsister Shanna Smith; very special friends Donny and Debbie Tubbs, the angels that God sent to the family, and who unselfishly gave their time, friendship and love. Wayne was loved and will be dearly missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, both real and adopted. Goodbye, we love you Uncle Bean, Uncle Wayno.Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Leonard Eugene Foster.Wayne loved to share his passion for motorcycle riding with his boys and nieces. He had a love for music and enjoyed jamming on the guitar with his friends and brother Steve, with his friend Donny on the drums.A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 20 at the Santa Paula First Presbyterian Church, 121 Davis Street.In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for his sons Michael and Thomas.
