The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley will be having their 2nd Annual Golf Classic Golf Tournament to benefit the “Positive Place for Kids” on August 1st, 2005 at the Moorpark Country Club. The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley serves over 5000 youth in a variety of programs and locations in Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru. The Boys & Girls Club mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those from disadvantaged circumstances, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. We currently have program sites in 11 different facilities with one administrative office and another location for our Neighborhoods for Learning Parent Workshops.This is the second year that we will be having our golf tournament at the golf course at Moorpark Country Club, designed by Jacobsen/Hardy Golf Design, is an incredible 27-hole championship design that meanders through canyons and arroyos, and along creeks and ridgelines. With the surrounding valleys, the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands in the background, the views are breathtaking. Whether it’s the fragrant aroma of sage or citrus flowers, the clack of boards as cars cross over the classic wood bridges, the feel of ocean breezes on your face, or the picturesque views from ridgelines, Moorpark Country Club offers a sensory experience that will always be treasured.Those playing in the golf tournament on Monday, August 1st will enjoy beautiful views, a great layout and immaculate course conditions.
