The Ventura County Fair @ Seaside Park Ventura - California’s Coolest Fair @ www.coolfair.com debuted its 2004 Fair Poster and “Hooray for Hollywood” theme. CEO and General Manager for the 31st Agricultural District of the State of California, which operates the Ventura County Fair and Seaside Park, was featured, along with Seaside Parker, the new celebrity spokes-seahorse for the Ventura County Fair, making a debut this season after a recent spawning on the sands of the Pacific Ocean at Seaside Park. “We are very pleased to offer Ventura County residents and all of Southern California a fantastic fair this year befitting our ‘Hooray for Hollywood’ theme with days and nights filled with stars and world class entertainment and agricultural exhibitions,” says Mr. Barlow. The Fair Poster features a fine art painting by local artist James Lockwood, reprinted in full color, and an embossed Hooray for Hollywood sign reminiscent of the famous Hollywood sign projecting from those famous hills above Hollywood, just a few miles from Ventura. The Fair’s new website, www.coolfair.com recognizes the new slogan for the Ventura County Fair, “California’s Coolest Fair,” known for both it’s cool attractions and cool breezes at California’s only fairgrounds located directly at the beach on the Pacific Ocean.
A new friend spawned on the nearby beaches and full of salty humor and tails of adventure, Seaside Parker, the new celebrity spokes-seahorse, will make a debut as part of the Ventura County Fair’s effort to raise awareness of the many family attractions available at this and every year’s Fair. “Here at the surf in Ventura and Oxnard most folks know about the Ventura County Fair because they can smell the popcorn and see the Ferris wheel. But I’m concerned our friends on the turf - those folks who live in places like Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks, need a friendly, fun reminder of when the Fair is on this year. So, I’ll be touring the county, giving away prizes and Fair tickets from my pouch, reminding everyone that this is THEIR Ventura County Fair!” says Seaside Parker.
