MESA students from various regions competed in this event with SPHS students competing as part of the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) region.
“Our students worked countless hours to prepare their projects,” said Rocio Bravo, School Counselor/Migrant Program at Santa Paula High School. “All competitions were academic events in which students participated in mathematics, engineering, and science projects.”
Mario Castellanos, Executive Director of UCSB’s Office of Education Partnerships said: “Great job MESA Team! Congrats to Rocio and Santa Paula High School students. You all did a phenomenal job representing our region and campus!”
Phyllis Brady, UCSB MESA Programs Director, offered a hearty congratulations to the SPHS MESA regionalists and advisors: “Your teams performed well and represented SPHS and UCSB MESA admirably!” she said.
