David Hernandez arrested in connection to Hector Alamillo Jr. homicide

On July 30, 2014 at approximately 2:55 p.m. , David Hernandez 40 years, Santa Paula, was taken into custody by Ventura Police Officers.

Hernandez was being sought by Santa Paula Police in connection  to the homicide of Hector Alamillo Jr. that occurred on July 23rd, 2014 in the 400 Blk. of Grant Line, Santa Paula.

Hernandez is a known documented gang member from Santa Paula and had been named as a possible suspect in the homicide. Hernandez also had an active Felony warrant for his arrest for violation of his parole (PROS).

During the ongoing homicide investigation, Investigators developed information that Hernandez was possibly present at the crime scene. Santa Paula Police Detectives assisted by Ventura Police Department were able to locate Hernandez at a Ventura Motel. Hernandez initially refused to exit his motel room and after a brief stand off, he exited his room and was taken into custody by Ventura Police Officers without incident.

A female that accompanied Hernandez, Adrian Alcozar 32 years, was also taken into custody on unrelated charges. Both were turned over to Santa Paula Police Detectives and transported to Santa Paula Police.

Hernandez is being held on the outstanding Felony parole warrant at this time. The homicide investigation is ongoing. This arrest was made possible with the assistance of the Ventura Police Officers, Ventura County District Attorney's Investigators and Santa Paula Police Detectives who have been working almost 24/7 on this case following up on all leads.
