Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a Santa Paula area man last week for allegedly stealing metal from an inactive oil-pumping site.
Jeffrey Daniel, 46, was detained Thursday, July 28 by deputies out of the Fillmore VCSD/Police substation for the alleged theft from the former oil-pumping site located in the 17000 block of South Mountain Road.
Several oil pump parts were found in Daniel’s truck. Deputies detained him near his home, also located in the South Mountain area. The alleged theft involved about $3,800 in equipment losses.
