The JV girls overpowered the visiting Warriors, 42-31. The Santa Paula JV took charge of the game from the start, outscoring the visitors 12-1 in the first quarter of play. At the half the Cards led 25-7. The Warriors tried to make a comeback in the second quarter but couldn’t get past the Lady Cardinal defense.
Top scorers for Santa Paula were: Lizzette Ramirez and Zionne Lee 11, Ciara Ramirez 8 and Sarah Jordon 7 points.
The varsity had a harder time, losing to the Warriors, 50-28.
