More candidates take out papers for school district races

More potential candidates have taken out nomination papers for the Santa Paula Elementary and High School District boards.

WilsonSanta Paula TimesMore potential candidates have taken out nomination papers for the Santa Paula Elementary and High School District boards.Andrew Castaneda, Yolie Cerda and Dianna Ponce-Gomez were the latest candidates to pull papers for the Santa Paula Union High School District Board of Trustees. Incumbent Catherine Sepulveda had pulled papers in mid-July. Because Bob Salas, the other incumbent, has decided not to run, candidates have until August 14 at 5:00 p.m. to return nomination papers.
One more person has taken papers for the Santa Paula Elementary School District Board. Rick Cadman, a retired SPESD principal makes it five potential contenders for two seats. Incumbents Gary Marshall and Ofelia De La Torre are both seeking re-election. The other two candidates to pull papers are Tim Hicks and Ginger Gherardi.Today is the deadline to turn in nomination forms for the S.P. Elementary District race.
