Car theft leads to accident

Monday morning at 4:25 a.m., the Santa Paula Police Department received a call for a noise disturbance at 218 N. 8th St. and upon arrival noticed a black Jeep Cherokee leaving the area at a high rate of speed. A vehicle pursuit ensued, with the pursuit ending when the vehicle crashed and rolled over on 10th Street just north of Mill Street. Two suspects, Anthony Robledo, age 23, of Piru and an unnamed juvenile, age 17, attempted to flee the scene, while a third suspect, Christopher Robledo, age 19 of Piru, was found trapped in the vehicle. Robledo was removed from the vehicle with the assistance of the Santa Paula Fire Department.All three suspects were transported to Santa Paula Hospital for medical clearance after receiving minor lacerations. They were then transported to the Santa Paula Police Department, where they were booked for theft of a vehicle.Later Anthony and Christopher Robledo were transported to the Ventura County main jail, while the juvenile was transported to the Ventura County Juvenile Hall facility. The theft and accident are still under investigation.
