Sandra Macik joins an elite group of golfers

Sandra Macik has joined that limited, elite group of golfers who have hit a hole-in-one. Macik (above) shows off the 7-iron that did the job for her. It happened September 1 at the new Moorpark Country Club on the 139-yard, 15th hole. She was playing with her husband John and Jim McCoy. “I was totally excited,” Sandra said of her shot. This was her first hole-in-one. She said she hit from the tee, the ball bounced on the green and rolled into the cup. There have been several holes-in-one reported recently at Mountain View Golf Course near Santa Paula as well. The most recent occurred August 19 when Ben Fausset hit a 145-yard shot on the 6th hole with his sand wedge.
