Assistant Superintendent Robin Freeman was joined for the last two meetings with the artist by board members Michelle Kolbeck and Kelsey Stewart.
Superintendent Alfonso Gamino told the board, “I would be proud to wear this logo on my shirt.”

The Santa Paula Unified School District board has adopted a logo for the new district after a couple of months of struggle.
The district held a competition for a logo and there was a tie for first place. Those designs were then taken to a graphic designer to take the winning designs and come up with a logo.
The board rejected the first few designs outright and they talked about maybe finding someone else to do the design. However, they went back to the original artist and after a couple of revisions the final design was approved at last Thursday’s board meeting.
