Hansen of upper Ojai; daughter and son-in-law Annette and Mark Blackwood of Bishop; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Guy Lyttle of Lee Vining; son and daughter-in-law Ralph D. andSandra Hansen of upper Ojai; sister Alverna Haltli of Duluth, Minnesota; two sisters-in-law, Lois Hansen of upper Ojai and Georgena Nix of Oak View; seven grandsons; and four great grandchildren.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.Memorial services were held August 9 at Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary.Arrangements under the direction of Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary, Santa Paula.Patti Farmer AdamsonPatti Hale Farmer Adamson, 72, a life-long California resident, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 10, 1999 at her home in Downey. She was a bookkeeper for Media One Communications at the time of her death, and had lived in Downey since 1965.Patti was born April 3, 1927, and lived in various areas of California during her school years. She moved back to Santa Paula as a young adult and married Gene Allen Farmer. Two sons were born to this union. She was predeceased by her older son, David Farmer, in 1995 as the result of a traffic accident.Patti is survived by her son Brian Farmer, Bakersfield; parents Peggy and Ken Ford of LaVerne; grandchildren, Allen, Alexis, Jessica and Michael, and daughter-in-law Lana Farmer, all of Downey; and cousins, Dorothy Atmore of Santa Paula, and Kenney Gordon of Yucca Valley.Chapel services were held Friday morning, August 13 at Miller-Mies Mortuary in Downey. Graveside and committal service was held in the afternoon at Santa Paula Cemetery with Rev. William Baumgarten of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Santa Paula officiating.

Edward F. Rawson
Edward (Ed) F. Rawson, 86, of Santa Paula, passed away into the Lord’s arms on Saturday, August 7, 1999.Ed was born in Lombard, Illinois on September 26, 1912 to William and Margaret Rawson. He was the second of five children. At age 16 he became an Eagle Scout.While working as a pin setter in the local bowling alley, he met and later married Margaret Seilheimer, who continues to reside in Santa Paula. They were wed on February 14, 1935, and together they had five children: Carl Rawson, deceased; Carol Sternberg of Santa Paula; twins Kathleen Robinson, deceased, and Madeline Rawson of Santa Paula; and Donna Nelson of Redlands.Ed is also survived by a sister, Margaret Clark of Florida; a sister-in-law, Helen Rawson Stroner of Woodstock, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild due in January.This past Valentine’s Day marked the 64th year of Ed and Marge’s long, loving union.During their time together Ed worked at Edison for a time and later retired from Elliot Addressing Machines, as a machine technician, after 25 years of service.The family would like to thank all his friends and neighbors at Rancho Santa Paula who shared in his daily walks and spirit of community. All who knew him will greatly miss the fruits (and veggies!) of his green thumb.A memorial service will be held at Skillin-Carroll Mortuary on Saturday, August 14 at 11 a.m. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made in Ed’s name to Santa Paula Memorial Hospital, 825 N. 10th St., Santa Paula, CA 93060.Arrangements are under the direction of Skillin-Carroll Mortuary, Santa Paula.Mildred Lucille ComptonMildred Lucille Compton, age 73, of Santa Paula, passed away August 1, 1999 in Santa Paula.Mrs. Compton was born May 3, 1926 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma. A homemaker, she was a 25 year Ventura County resident.She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Compton, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silas D. Compton, in 1984.She was a loving and sweet woman to those who knew her, and a great friend. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 3 at Pierce Brothers Stetler Mortuary Chapel, with Reverend Dennis Easter of the Horizon Foursquare Church officiating.Burial was August 4 at Crestlawn Memorial Park in Riverside.
