The Ventura Audubon Society will hold its monthly meeting on Tuesday January 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the Poinsettia Pavilion, 3451 Foothill Rd., Ventura. Presenter Don DesJardin has been birding and photographing birds for the last 15 years in what he calls his “local patch”, Ventura County. He has acquired an extensive video collection of local and migratory Ventura County birds, shorebirds being one of his favorite groups. His program is a 60-minute video that he has produced called “The Birds of Ventura County”, covering over 130 species of migratory and local birds. For information call 643-5825 or 484-8415.
