Boys & Girls Club attends Cowboys experience Weyerhaeuser sponsors bus

Children from the Boys & Girls Clubs in Santa Paula, Fillmore and Piru were able to attend a special afternoon at the Cowboys Experience in Oxnard thanks to Weyerhaeuser. The Cowboys Marketing Department had contacted all of the Clubs in the County and offered a special time for the kids to come to Oxnard and watch the players practice. They also provided a special area with jolly jumps and games at no charge to the kids. One of their favorite activities was putting on the shoulder pads, shirt, helmet and shoes (very large) and racing with another child.When Weyerhaeuser was approached with the opportunity for the kids to attend this special event, they stepped forward with a donation to cover the cost of the bus. The bus picked up the members in Fillmore and Piru and then came to Santa Paula for members from Las Piedras and Harvard. It was a very special day for the kids.
