    Junior Cheer girls off to Las Vegas nationals

    The Santa Paula Junior Cardinal Cheer Leaders are heading to Las Vegas next month to compete in the Nationals. The girls will participate in the competition on February 7 at the Aladdin Resort. The Junior Cheer girls took sixth place at Magic Mountain out of a total of 15 teams. They placed second in show cheer and dance at the Pacific Youth Cheer Competition at UC Santa Barbara.Coach Angie Lascano extends a special thanks to the Moose Lodge, Bob Edwards, Casa del Mexicano, and Los Arcos Restaurant for their help. She also thanks team moms: Diane Espinoza, Maria Cable and Angela Galvan, as well as Frank Lascano for his support.She also thanks Anna Manzano, the Santa Paula Boys and Girls Club and the Santa Paula Community Center.
