Owner and President John Macik received the award in early May. The award was presented at a special event at the dealership, featuring a BBQ and a cake made to look like the dealership.
Chris Shane, Zone Manager presented Macik with a large trophy. Shane said their Number One status in the State of California was based on sales performance, not the total number of car sales. Santa Paula Chevrolet exceeded their planning guide by 400 percent, he said.
Macik thanked his employees for their hard work and said he was very pleased to receive the award. Santa Paula Chevrolet is Ventura County’s most award-winning dealer for the last 23 years. They are also the #1 volume Chevrolet Dealer in the Tri-Counties.
A Mark of Excellence Award reflects Santa Paula Chevrolet’s standing in the top 10 percent of the nation’s almost 5,000 GM dealerships. All criteria must be met to garner the award - sales, service, customer satisfaction, market penetration, and certification of service employees. In prior years the dealership was honored by Chevrolet with the Genuine Leaders Award for two years in a row, the 5-Star Quality Award 4 years in a row and the Leadership Award.
