modified holiday business schedule

If you have any city business that involves the municipality you’d better hurry: City Hall has announced its modified schedule for December through the first of the year that affects all departments except police and fire.

According to a city statement, the modified holiday schedule is effective between December 24 and January 1, 2015, with staggered hours for different departments.

“As in past years,” notes the announcement, “the City’s Planning, Building & Safety, Finance, Community Services and Public Works Departments will have the following modified work schedules between the week of Christmas and New Year’s,” with Finance, Planning and Community Services closed beginning Wednesday, December 24 through January 1, 2015.  

The Public Works and Building & Safety Departments will be open Wednesday, December 24, from 8 a.m. to noon and closed Christmas Day, December 25. Friday, December 26 falls on a city flex day so all offices will be closed.

The next week it starts again with regular business hours for Public Works and Building & Safety Departments onDecember 29 and December 30, then December 31, New Year’s Eve, City Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to noon.

Thursday, January 1 City Hall will be closed but all employees will be back at work Friday as it is not a flex day.

“Although most City offices will be closed and staff will not be available to answer phone calls during regular business hours,” the announcement notes that “departments will maintain minimum staffing to check phone messages daily to ensure any urgent matters are attended to promptly.”

For any urgent matter regarding Water Emergencies, dial 421-4116; the Administration Department dial 933-4247; Planning Department dial 933-4214; Inspection Services-Inspection Requests dial 933-4210; Finance Department dial 525-4478, ext. 250; Community Services dial 933-4226; and Public Works dial 933-4212.

Santa Paula Fire and Santa Police personnel will be on duty and for any emergencies call 911. 

“The Santa Paula City Council and City staff,” notes the announcement, “wishes all residents the happiest of holidays and a happy New Year!”
