David Sellers, 66, was arrested on a felony warrant for suspicion of possession of obscene material; Nathaniel Chavez, 38, was arrested for suspicion of possession of methamphetamine and possession of a methamphetamine pipe; Anthony Duenas, 34, was arrested on a felony warrant for suspicion of failure to appear, a misdemeanor warrant for violation of probation, and possession of a methamphetamine pipe; Richard Duenas, 34, was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance; Victor Sanchez, 43, was arrested for suspicion of possession of heroin and possession of a syringe; and Lisa Mata, 47, suspicion of possession of a syringe.
“Some of the officers went out and conducted a parole and probation compliance check,” said Police Chief Steve McLean. “As a result of the sweep, we arrested four gang members and others for various charges... we’re sending a message that Santa Paula Police are doing our best to keep our community safe.”
