You’ve heard of a totem pole but how about a Tatham Pole? Four generations of the Tatham Family recently gathered in Santa Paula for a visit and a photo of the multigenerational lineup. From top to bottom are Robert Tatham, 89 of Santa Paula, son Robert Tatham PhD, 70 of Austin, Texas, grandson Ben Tatham, 35 of Ottawa, Canada and his son-and fourth generation shown-2-year-old Isaac. The senior Tatham and his late wife Dorothy moved to Santa Paula 30 years ago from Los Angeles when he retired. Just after the New Year, “There was a marriage in the family,” that allowed for a Santa Paula group visit. Although having the four generations together at one time is “Unusual for us,” Robert said he enjoys singular visits from family members annually.
