Glen City School holds annual door decoration contest

Glen City School recently held its annual “Say No to Drugs” Door decoration contest. 5th grade ambassadors guided the judges to the various classrooms. The judges gave each of the doors a score from 1 to 5.  One door from each grade level was chosen as a winner.   The winners were:  Barbara Ramirez (Transitional Kindergarten, also the coordinator of Red Ribbon Week activities), Ms. Rodriguez (Kindergarten), Mrs. Lourenco (1st grade), Ms. Davis (2nd grade), Mrs. Blackshear (3rd grade), Tie for 4th grade with Mr. Hager and Mrs. Birky, Mrs. Medina (5th grade). Our judges and ambassadors were : Jim Tovias,  Sonia Franco and Alfonso Gamino, with Samuel De la Huerta and Abraham Gonzalez;   Kelsey Stewart, Diana Ramos and  Robin Freeman with Cesar Valdovinos; Chief Steven McLean, Jeannette Martinez and Ed Mount with Luis Frias and Riley Allen; Julian Chaveste Michelle Chaveste and Diana Ponce-Gomez with Ashley Lopez.  The classroom winners all received a popsicle.
