The Social Concerns Committee of the Universal Unitarian Church invites the public to a screening of a Nova film, “World in the Balance: The Population Paradox.” 

This film contrasts fast population growth and new economic abundance in India and China with declining and aging populations in Europe and Japan. Also we see parts of India and Africa in which more than half of their growing populations are less than 25 years of age.

World population is careening in two dramatically different directions. This film presents personal stories of people in these countries and how population growth or decline is effecting them.

Screening is January 25, 2013, Friday, 7:00 p.m., UU Church of Santa Paula, 740 East Main Street.
