Students read their poems at school board meeting

Students from Blanchard Elementary School read poems they had written for district trustees at this month’s board meeting. The poetry project was funded by grant money.
A guest author came to the school and spent five sessions with the students, helping them with their writing. The poems will be published in a citywide anthology.
