Cardinal wrestlers hit the mats last week, taking first in Cardinal Challenge

The Cards won 4-0, beating the visiting teams. Santa Paula First Place finishers: Gus Castillo (103 lbs), Alfredo Sanchez (112 lbs), Marc Prado (135 lbs), Tyler Vandergeugten (160 lbs), Joe Camacho (215 lbs) and Michael Cable (Hvy). Juan Trejo (189 lbs) took second place.
The Cardinal girls competed at the Pacifica Dual meet last Saturday. Santa Paula place fifth out 20 teams taking part. Santa Paula girls who placed were: Katie Black (114 lbs) 3-1-third place, Justine Jue (114 lbs) 4-1-second place, and Valerie Vega (122 lbs) 2-3-sixth place.
