Richard (Rick) Cook has joined Cal West Real Estate as a licensed REALTOR®. He has
completed the required studies and passed the State of California exam with flying colors.Rick attended Mupu Grammar School and graduated from Santa Paula Union HighSchool in 1968.He attended Ventura Junior College at night and worked in the oil industry until 1973when he was hired by the Santa Paula Police Department as a police officer.Rick was promoted to Sergeant in 1978. He retired medically from the department in1995 after 25 years of service.Cook ran a successful campaign for City Council and served on the council for eightyears, holding the office of Mayor twice during his tenure.In 1999 he went to work in the Ventura County Public Defender’s office as a defenseinvestigator, achieving the rank of Sr. Investigator. Cook retired from that office this pastNovember, serving the residents of Ventura County for over 10 years. He has a total of35 years of public service.Rick and his wife, Sally just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
