It will be free fun for onlookers and participants alike at the 2009 Kiwanis Club Citrus Festival Parade, to be held Saturday, July 18 in historic Downtown Santa Paula.

It will be free fun for onlookers and participants alike at the 2009 Kiwanis Club Citrus Festival Parade, to be held Saturday, July 18 in historic Downtown Santa Paula. As with previous Citrus Festival Parades there is no entry fee, even for those categories that will be judged and awarded trophies.The Kiwanis Club of Santa Paula invites all churches, individuals, service clubs and organizations, kids on bikes, youth and adult groups, car clubs, equestrians, musicians, businesses and everyone else with a sense of fun to take part in this year’s parade.The filmed parade offers wide exposure and free advertising for all participants through multiple television replays by Time Warner Cable Channel throughout Ventura County. And the parade will be aired even more often in Santa Paula!The theme for this year’s parade and festival is “Sweet Fruit, Sweet Life,” and participants are urged to consider using the theme in their entries, even if it’s just a touch of lemon yellow, avocado green or orange. Parade applications will be sent by mail to past participants.
Applications can also be downloaded from the Citrus Festival web site, www.santapaulafestival.org, or you can pick up an application at the Santa Paula Times, 944 E.
