An employee of Cal West Real Estate, located at 750 E. Main St., reported that when they arrived at the office they “noticed things had been moved around in the place... then they realized that two laptop computers had been stolen.”The point of entry was found to be a window, and Fogata said that toys that had been collected for charity had “not been touched. They (the suspect/suspects) were specific in what they wanted.”
The next incident occurred at Radio Shack early on Wednesday, December 24. Fogata said officers were dispatched to the store, located at 248 W. Harvard Blvd., at 1:45 a.m. to a report that a “window was smashed.” Upon arrival, officers discovered the suspect/suspects had “apparently used two large bricks to shatter the windows, entered and stole numerous items,” including televisions, cameras, iPods, a “police scanner-type radio,” laptop computer, and other miscellaneous merchandise. If anyone has information about the smash and grab break-ins they are asked to call the SPPD, 525-4474.
