SPHS Jazz Band Entertains at the Santa Paula Moose Lodge

Members of the Channel Island Council of Higher Degrees held its quarterly celebration at the Santa Paula Moose Lodge on June 1, 2008. The Council of Higher Degree is comprised of members of Loyal Order of the Moose and Women of the Moose who have obtained Higher Degrees in the Order. The Channel Island Chapter of the Council consists of members from the Camarillo, Ojai, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, Santa Paula, and Ventura Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose. Current Officers of the Council are: Lucille Juarez, President, Ventura, Eve Mora, Vice-President, Santa Paula, Cheryl Volden, Past President, Oxnard, Zoe Good, Secretary/Treasurer, Camarillo, and Ron Barry, Chaplain, Camarillo.The Council held an afternoon dinner and was entertained by the Santa Paula High School Jazz Band. In appreciation, the Council of Higher Degrees made a donation of $150 plus $235, which was donated from the members and guests present to the band. The Council of Higher Degrees and the Santa Paula Moose Lodge extends its heartfelt thanks to the Jazz Band for the great entertainment.
