On Tuesday, April 29 starting at 9 a.m., the Santa Paula Senior Center will start taking appointments for the next carotid artery (May 20) and peripheral artery disease (May 27) screenings.

On Tuesday, April 29 starting at 9 a.m., the Santa Paula Senior Center will start taking appointments for the next carotid artery (May 20) and peripheral artery disease (May 27) screenings. This free service is made possible by a grant from the Ventura County Area Agency on Aging, and is part of a countywide “Strike Out Stroke” program with free carotid artery and peripheral artery disease screening dates in the cities of Santa Paula, Moorpark, Oxnard and Ventura.Appointments are a must, and you need to be age 60+ and a Ventura County resident to take part. Health screenings, including blood tests for cholesterol, blood sugar and anemia, by public health nurses will also be available on those days by appointment.
