SP Youth Cheerleading Champs back from Las Vegas

The Santa Paula Youth Cheer girls did great at the recent Jamz National Championships in Las Vegas.
The seniors came in 2nd in show cheer out of 13 teams, missing out on 1st place by a point and a half. This routine was choreographed and trained by Nicole Barns and Hannah Grant. “The girls did an amazing job and we couldn’t be more proud of them,” said Cheer Director/Coach Shana Kolek.The girls placed 3rd for Stunt Pod out of four teams and 5th in Funk/Hip-Hop out of 12 teams. The Funk/Hip Hop was coached by Shana Kolek and Kim Herrera and was choreographed by Tiffany Leon and DJ Big mike.The juniors came in 4th for performance cheer, and the Midgets came in 4th for show cheer (non-mount), and 5th for Performance Cheer (non-mount). The juniors were coached by Veronica Skoe and trained by Allie Manzano and Brittany Chavez. Kathy Pettit coached the Midgets. Priscilla and Sylvia Urias choreographed the show cheer. Alicia Chavez choreographed the performance cheer.
