Youth Peace Conference committee

The Youth Peace committee, in collaboration with Kiwanis, Santa Paula Elementary School District, Santa Paula Resources Youth Team, and Ventura County Probation Department will present the Santa Paula Youth Peace Summit at Isbell Middle School, 221 So. 4th St. on Friday and Saturday, May 26th and 27th. The two-day event will include leadership training for high school students and mentoring for middle school students. More than 100 students ages 11 to 14 will participate in the event.The positive program is designed to prevent violence, and focus on future visions for them and the community.Students will attend four workshops geared to help them build good relationship with their peers, and adults. Each workshop will have middle school students, high school students, and adult volunteers.Members on the planning committee are: Tommy Frutos, Socorro Lopez-Hanson, Lupe Castro, Olivia Cisneros, Miles Clancy, Glenn Deines, Calla Dominguez, Denese Egelston, Stefan Gonzales, Joe Jauregui, Michael Klee, Tiffany Kitchens, Anthony Medrano, Elissa Mendez, Estella Montiel, Javier Nava, Ricky Ramirez, Rafael Ramirez, Ruben Rivera, Ceci Ruiz, Niki Ruiz, Lori Sanchez, Eddie Vasquez, Lidia Vaiz.
