The Santa PaulA High School does it again! Teachers, staff, and students come up big in collecting food items for this year’s Rotary Christmas Baskets. 500 Santa Paula Families who may need a little extra help over the holidays receive a large donation of food, turkey, ham, vegetables, canned food items, toys, fruits & vegetables.

Students, teachers and staff geared themselves during the final weeks of the school’s semester not only to prepare for finals, but to commit to community service and celebrate the holiday spirit. Over 6,000 cans were collected by the students prior to the semester break and delivered the cans to the Santa Paula community Center as part of the State FFA’s “The Hunger Challenge: Food for All”. The event is sponsored by the Santa Paula FFA Chapter and the Santa Paula Rotary Club.

Thank you to the SP FFA Members who helped sort, pack, and load up the livestock trailer on Friday, the last day before the Christmas Holiday! Santa Paula FFA member and Chapter FFA President Alondra Valle said, “It’s a great way for SPHS to give back to the community over the holiday break and help our families in need”. Again, thank you everyone who contributed food items, we could not have done it without you!
