Glen City School holds annual “Say No to Drugs” Door Contest

Glen City School recently held its annual “Say No to Drugs” Door decoration contest.

 The theme this year was “Too Smart To Start Drugs.” 5th grade ambassadors guided the judges to the various classrooms. The judges gave each of the doors a score from 1 to 5.  One door from each grade level was chosen as a winner.   The winners were:  Naomi Saldano (Kindergarten), Sarah Hillier (1st grade), Teresa Trujillo (2nd grade), Maria Blackshear (3rd grade), Teresa Moore (4th grade), Norma Medina (5th grade).  The judges this year were: Ed Mount, Kelsey Stewart, Alfonso Gamino, Frida Friend, Vanessa White, Steve McLean, Rick Araiza, Sarahi Rojas, Kenya Valdez, Marisela Zacavias, Sonja Franco, Maria Diaz and Diana Ramos. Above is the winning 4th Grade door in Teresa Moore’s class. Left is the door winner for the 5th Grade in Norma Medina’s class.
