The Board of Trustees of the Blanchard/Santa Paula Public Library District announces that it is seeking applications from interested residents of the District to fill the remaining term of a vacant seat on the Board. The term runs through the end of November 2014.
Candidates should write a letter indicating their interest, their background, and their reasons for wanting to be on the Board. In addition, they will be required to submit written responses to a list of questions prepared by the Board. Applicants must provide the letter and responses to the list of questions in a timely manner to be considered. Candidates are reminded that their letters and question responses will be regarded as public documents and available to anyone wishing to see them. The deadline for filing is December 2, 2013. Incomplete applications or applications received after that date will not be considered.
After reviewing the letters and written answers to questions, the Board will interview all candidates that submitted complete applications at an open Board meeting either at its regular meeting on December 17 or at a special meeting in December depending upon how many complete applications are received by the deadline.
