Ralph Charles Hansen
Lifelong resident of Upper Ojai, Ralph Charles Hansen, 88, passed away August 6, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Ralph was born in Upper Ojai on March 7, 1922, graduated from Nordhoff Union High School in the class of 1939, served honorably in the United States Coast Guard during World War II, and was employed by Atlantic Richfield Oil Company, ARCO, in Upper Ojai for over 30 years as a Production Supervisor. He spent many hours hunting and fishing in the Sierras, and was an avid pilot. His golfing buddies, especially Oz, will miss him.
He was preceded in death by wife Del Hansen. He is survived by his wife, Alverna; daughter and son-in-law Annette and Mark Blackwood of Bishop, CA; daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Guy Lyttle of Lee Vining, CA; son and daughter-in-law Ralph and Sandra Hansen of Upper Ojai; seven grandsons, six great-grandchildren and extended step-family in Minnesota.
Celebrating his life, memorial services will be held Saturday, August 14 at 11 a.m. at the Ralph Charles Hansen residence.
Milt Lax
Milt Lax, 60, passed away on August 12, 2010 at his home in Santa Paula with his wife by his side. He was born on March 23, 1950 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
He is survived by Jane, his wife of 28 years, his daughter Kim Gallegos (Shawn), son Brian Gaer (Rae) and grandchildren Kristin, Zachary, Kaitlyn, Paige, Devon, and Carson. Milt had a great sense of humor and was loved by all.
There will be a celebration of his life at the family home on Sunday, August 15 from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Turning Point Foundation, P.O. Box 24397, Ventura, CA 93002.
