The board of trustees of the Santa Paula Union High School District has held their reorganization meeting.Three trustees were sworn in, two were unchallenged in the recent election, one won the balloting. Terry Nelson, Robert Salas and Catherine Sepulveda all took the oath of office, administered by district superintendent Dr. David Gomez. The newly seated board quickly moved to elect trustee Christina Urias as the new President of the Board, replacing Robert Salas. Terry Nelson was chosen as Vice President and Catherine Sepulveda was elected as Clerk of the Board. Salas was presented a gavel by the superintendent. “We really appreciate your hard work, your dedication,” said Gomez. “A lot of you don’t know about all the extra time he puts in. He goes to Sacramento all the time, he’s on different committees, and he’s very committed to attending our Ventura County School Board Association. He also runs our first-time drug offender hearings.”
