Agriculture Science Academy visits the Aquarium of the Pacific
The Agriculture Science Academy Biology teacher Mrs. Wilkinson takes her Biology (H) and Zoology students to the Aquarium of the Pacific each year as a way to bring real life and hands on learning to the classroom. The trip is funded by the Agriculture Science Academy to provide a real life classroom and allow students to explore various careers in biology, marine biology, animal care, and veterinary medicine.
“The aquarium was spectacular!” said Agriculture student, Isabel Valle, “My favorite display was the jellyfish exhibit.” Easily identified by their FFA polos, students attended the walking tour to learn more about the various ocean wildlife exhibits. “I truly believe in supporting and funding these types of field trips for students to learn” said agriculture teacher and FFA Advisor, Mr. Flores. Thank you to all the parents and Mrs. Wilkinson for coordinating the trip.
