Wycliffe Associates, a ministry accelerating the work of Bible translation around the world, is hosting a complimentary banquet for the entire community at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 6 at the Crowne Plaza Ventura.
All are invited to come and hear Bible translator Greg Jones share about his heartfelt experiences working with the Zabana people of the Solomon Islands and how people of all backgrounds are working together to accelerate Bible translation in the region.
Under Jones’ leadership, about 35 percent of the New Testament is now complete in the Zabana language. This year, the translation of three more books will be completed: Acts, Philippians, and Colossians.
