Preserving Aviation History for Future Generations, that is one of the Aviation Museum of Santa Paula’s goals.
To help obtain that goal, the museum is hosting a fundraiser on May 19, 2012. That is Armed Forces Day, so let’s go RED WHITE & BLUE!
WINE WINGS & WINNINGS, its 9th year, is a fun filled evening of Casino Night, where you can actually win a stay in Las Vegas. As you enter the event, you will be given $500 funny money to trade for chips. Try your hand at Craps, Poker, Roulette or challenge our dealers at Blackjack. Everyone is a winner here!
Wander around. You can’t miss our beautiful 1931 Stinson Jr airplane, donated to the museum by Clay Lacy. See many Classic American Cars and Trucks a Race car or two, check out the eclectic silent auction, enjoy a beer or a glass of premium wine from our local Wineries, sample some world famous sauces from RED HOT FOODS and sit with friends to enjoy an old fashion American Barbecue catered by CAVU Restaurant at Santa Paula Airport.
This is a really fun evening at the airport, a chance to see old friends and meet new ones, I know people who collect the souvenir wine glasses and have every year. Have some fun with bidding wars at the silent auction and since it’s not real money, bet the limit at the Casino says Judy McCarthy, the Event Coordinator. It just keeps growing and getting better every year. You even get to park on the airport right next to the event with plenty of Handicap parking.
As a non profit, the support we have had from the community has allowed us to purchase a building, and obtain our use permit, now we are putting on the final touches and very soon will be open to the public on a regular basis. For that we thank you says Judy Phelps, President of the Museum Board of Directors. All proceeds benefit the Aviation Museum, a non-profit 501 (c) (3)
