2012 National Day of Prayer May 3rd

The 2012 National Day of Prayer will be observed on Thursday, May 3 at 7 p.m.

This year’s Theme is, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. “  Honorary Chair is Dr. David Jeremiah, founder of Turning Point Radio and Television Ministries and senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church. Chair is Shirley Dobson. 

The Santa Paula event will begin at 7 pm at Valley Community Church at 611 E. Main Street. Prayers in the Judeo-Christian traditions will be led by local pastors and leaders. There is no admission fee.

Santa Paula Vineyard Church will lead the worship. Author and bridge builder, Fawn Parish from Camarillo will give the call to prayer over the City of Santa Paula. Pastor Adelita Garza will provide translation. 

Prayer leaders include Steve Brackley of Gloryland Films; Clint Garman of Garman’s Pub for the business community;  Pastor Don Loomer of Heritage Valley Fellowship; Father Charles Lueras, Pastor Ron Urzua, First Presbyterian Church; Al Pineda for the Military; Officer Angelo Morales for Public Safety Personnel; Pastor Jason Fruehauf, Catalyst Church; Pastor Bob Walpole of Life Way Church and Michael Vanhecke, Principal of St. Augustine School for the Sanctity of Life.
