Santa Paula soccer teams win over Oak Park

The Santa Paula JV and varsity boys took on Oak Park Wednesday.
The JV game opened up after 25 minutes when Geovanni Quijas sent a free kick into the box which was headed in by Erick Ambriz. The score at half was 1-0.
After half, Ricky Zamarron added a second goal. During the last 10 minutes Jose Carmen Magana put one away after dribbling from half field and beating the goalkeeper. The final score was 3-0.
The Cardinal varsity came out with a ton of energy and barely missed five chances to score early on. It wasn’t until Danny Fregoso sent a cross on the ground to Javier Aguilar, who set up Gonzalo Cisneros for the goal. The halftime score was 1-0.
After halftime, Aguilar made a run to goal, and Cisneros made a good pass where Aguilar finished on his first touch. The final score was 2-0.
The Cardinal JV record is 6-3. The varsity Record is 4-4-2.
