Rotary Club Benefit Fund accepting 2012 grant applications

The Santa Paula Rotary Club Benefit Fund, Inc. is now accepting grant applications for the 2012 granting cycle. The deadline for applying is February 17, 2012.
The majority of the funds which will be granted to community organizations and projects were raised by the Rotary Club of Santa Paula Faulkner Farm Pumpkin Patch event, held each October at the University of California Hansen Agricultural Center on Briggs and Telegraph roads in Santa Paula. Over 15,000 people from all over Southern California attended the Pumpkin Patch last year, the third consecutive year the event has been organized by the Rotary Club.
Additional funds are contributed to the fund by the members of the Rotary Club of Santa Paula. This is the third year the Benefit Fund has accepted grant applications for community needs in excess of $1,500.00 In 2009 the Rotary Club Benefit Fund, Inc. awarded grants to ten community organizations, totaling $59,414.14.
The Benefit Fund expects to announce its 2012 funding decisions in April.
