“Music makes the World go ‘Round” is the theme of the 22nd Annual County Parade.
The 22nd annual County Ventura St. Patrick’s Day Parade will step off on Main Street in historic downtown San Buenaventura on Saturday, March 13 at 10 AM. The whole county will be turning out for the wearin’ of the green on Main Street. Horses, Clowns, Car Clubs, Marching Bands and the Biggest Green Pig in the World will be there with all of the hoopla and shenanigans that make St. Patrick’s Day a fun day for all.
Presented by the Ventura Elks Lodge 1430, the parade with more than 90 entries will make its way down Main Street from the old Mission San Buenaventura, past the reviewing stand at Chestnut Street and on to the end of the parade route on Fir Street.
Talented actor and Buena High School graduate Zachary Levi will serve as Grand Marshal, in celebration of his hometown, Ventura.
Other Ventura County parade entries include Marine Corps League of Ventura County, Saint Baldrick’s, Seaside Highland Games, Shenanigan’s Irish Band, Leaping Leprechauns, Ventura County Animal Regulation, Santa Clara High School Band, Oxnard High School ROTC, Thousand Oaks High School Cheerleaders, Buena High School Marching Band, Naval Base Ventura County and many, many more!
The theme, “Music makes the World go ‘round” is a salute to unity and a reminder that no matter if we are Irish all year long, or once a year on March 17, everybody hears the same notes, chords and rhythms of the sweet music that makes the world go ‘round.
