Alexis Minyoung Lee is the daughter of Kee and Jill Lee, attends Ventura High School. She has been on the USA Women’s water polo National Training Team from 2005-2008. All Ventura County 1st team for girls water polo 2007 and 2008. She enjoys water polo, Swimming and National Charity League. Her travels have taken her to South Korea, BVI’s and the Czech Republic. She looks forward to attending a four year university.Teresa Marie Meir is the daughter of Bill and Janet Meir, attends Adolfo Camarillo High School. Her special honors and achievements for academics are as follows: National Honor Roll, California Scholarship Federation, Scholastic Achievement Award for 4.0 for outstanding achievement in history, science and math. Scholar athlete awards: Community service athlete awards, Adolfo Camarillo HS Volleyball coaches award, most improved player award, She held the offices in NCL as treasure and recording secretary. Her special interest and hobbies include flying lessons while working towards private pilot’s license. She enjoys surfing, tutoring math and volunteers with Big Sisters, Camarillo Ranch House, Special Olympics and the Camarillo Library. Her travels include a trip to France and England with People to People as a student Ambassador. Her college plans are to attend a 4 year university in California with a major in both engineering and psychology.Nathalie Anne Pronovost daughter of Marc and Lisa Pronovost, attends St. Bonaventure HS. She has earned the special honors and achievements as follows: Grand Champion Market Goat at the Ventura County Fair, Novice Market Goat Showmanship , 7 years in 4-H, 2 years cross country, 2 years soccer,. She has worked for 3 years at the Cottontail Canyon Days n Ventura and 3 years working at the Relay for Life in Santa Paula. She enjoys ARV riding, camping, tubing, wake boarding and playing tennis. Travels include a trip to Hong Kong with her family staying with a Chinese family during her visit and learning about the culture. Her college plans a first to attend junior college and the n transfer to Cal Poly or Chico with a major in agriculture. Nathalie is from a Ventura County Pioneer family ad a 3rd generation Ventura County Debutante. Her great aunt was in the first Presentation Ball and her mother was a Debutante.Kelsey Marie Redmond daughter of Jack and Sharon Redmond, attends La Reina HS. She has been actively involved with Regent Performers, the La Reina HS drama club. She has been club secretary, vice president and this year, as a senior is president of the Regent Performers. Kelsey is a member of La Reina’s service council and is ASB student council representative this year. Last summer she spent two weeks at Indiana University’s Midsummer Theater program and three week as a member of the UCLA’s musical Theater Conservatory. She has traveled in Europe and Africa. In Tanzania she was on a safari at many national parks and had the opportunity to deliver supplies to a Masai village school. She attended World Youth Day in Sydney , Australia with 150,000 youths from around the world. She traveled to the outback of Australia where she met Aboriginal people and to New Zealand where she met the Mauri People .She plans to attend a 4 year college and major in Fine Arts and Musical Theater.Megan Amber Schoppe daughter of Robert and Theresa, attends Oaks Christian High School. During the past four years at OCHS Megan has been a Varsity Girls Soccer Player, 2 years Cross Country Team Athletes Scholar, member of the Honor Roll, member of National Charity League, numerous awards for hours served. Se ha played club soccer for the past nine years, She enjoys spending time with friends. Megan is planning to attend a four year university in the fall of 2009.Caitlyn Margaret Teague daughter of Chuck and Laura Teague, attends St. Bonaventura High School. She is a member of National Honor Society, ASB treasure, 3 year varsity track, 2008 Homecoming Queen, President Senior/Freshman Mentor program. She was also 2008 Cross County team captain, a 4th year Varsity team member and 4th year scholar athlete. She enjoys horseback riding, competes in 3 day events when her schedule allows . Last summer she participated in she participated in a one week program with Our Lady of Assumption Youth Group working in an orphanage in Nicaragua. Caitlyn is applying to 4 year universities s and plans to major in Biology. Caitlyn and her sister Alison are 6th generation Teague family members and will be Presented a the Ball together.Alison Marjean Teague daughter of Chuck and Laura Teague, attends St. Bonaventure High School. She is a four year member of the St. Bonaventure dance team, current team captain, selected as top ten finalist in 2005 and 2007 USA summer dance camp. Alison is also a member of Jill Johnson Dance Studio Company. Her academic achievements include being a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend a 4 year University and junior in Theatre and Dance. Alison will be Presented this year with her Sister Caitlyn. They are 6th generation Ventura County residents.

Thirteen young women made their debut in the fall of 2008 at the 52nd Las Patronas Presentation Tea at the home of Mrs. Schmidt in Ojai. The girls were introduced to the members of Assistance League of Ventura County and their guest.
All county high school seniors the debutantes have distinguished themselves by their excellence in the academics, their involvement in school government and community service as well as their participation in athletics.The Tea is the first in a series of events that will culminate in the Las Patronas Presentation Ball on March 14, 2009 at the Ventura Beach Marriott. Proceed received by the Las Patronas from the Ball are used to benefit all Assistance League philanthropies, including the Assistance League School for the Child Development of Oxnard, the Girls and Teen Club in Ventura and the Buffy Bear Program and Operation School Bell.The following are the 13 2009 Debutantes:Lauren Elizabeth Cook daughter of Jeffrey and Marila Cook, attends Foothill Technology High School where she is ASB President . She has been a member of National Charity League for six years .She has led two teams for Relay for Life whichHave raised over $30,000.00 for the American Cancer Society. Lauren has donated over 9000 hours to community service. She enjoys singing, cooking, hiking and ballroom dancing in her spare time. Laurens plans staying in California for college and is applying to Pepperdine, USC, UCLA and Stanford.Hannah Louise Francis is the daughter of Richard and Nancy Francis, attends Foothill technology High School. While at FTHS she has been Associate Student Body Officer. Hannah has completed six years of service with the National Charity League. Her equestrian accomplishments include competing in Saddle Seat events for the last ten years. Hannah competes on her World Champion American Saddle Bred “Town Cat”. She has had two tours to Europe with the Ventura Master Chorale Children’s Choir. Her plans for college include University of California in Davis or San Diego. Her father is the former Mayor of the City of Ventura.Emily Renee Fuld is the daughter of Jonathan and Laura Fuld, attends Oaks Christian High School. She has been a member of National Charity League for the past six years and received the Yellow Rose Bouquet Award. She enjoys competing with the Varsity Cross Country and Track Teams and is on the Oaks Christian High School Dean’s list. In her spare time she loves to cook and bake as well as an avid distance runner. She is undecided at this time as to her college plans.Monique Danielle Gremaud is the daughter of Dan and Kathie Gremaud, attend St. Bonaventure. Monique is a member of CSF and Publicists for the Senior/Freshman girls mentor club, she is currently working toward the gold Award for girls Scouts. Monique is currently a peer leader at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, she is interested in fashion, sports and travel. She especially enjoys basketball and football. Her college plans include a fur year university in the Northern California or the east coast to pursue a career in Public Relations. Monique is a 4th generation Ventura County resident. She is the granddaughter of Ed and Pat yon and the great-granddaughter of Harry and Dorothy Lyon.Carly Christine Grether daughter of Carl and Lori Grether, attends Villanova Preparatory High School. Carly received a Varsity Letter for Tennis in her Junior year as well as academic achievements in Spanish Honors III, English and US History. She is a member of the California Scholarship Federation. Carly is a Thoroughbred Race Horse owner in the Sate of California and has won races with her horse “Carly Effect” at the Del Mar Race Track , Hollywood Park and Santa Anita. She enjoys volunteering at the Camarillo Library and Padre Serra. She has traveled to Mexico the Corozon Build a House Project and is planning to return in 2009. She has had an opportunity to travel round the country with her grandparents cities with their thoroughbreds. She plans to attend a four year university and become an elementary school teacher. She would like to attend Gonzaga, University of San Francisco , or Marquette. Carly comes from a long time Ventura County Farming family, they first arrived the year 1912. Her grandfather attended the Mesa Union School in as did Carly and her sisters.Megan Linsay Kahn is the daughter of Donald and Karen Kahn, attends St. Bonaventure HS Megan is a Cross Country for 4 years : track and field 3 years; soccer 2 tears; ASB officer 2 years; camp counselor for YMCA camp ; 4-H member for 5 years She enjoys fishing and hiking as well as scrap booking. This past summer she went on a n Alaskan Cruise with her family and dog sledding on a glacier . She is planning on attending a 4 year university in California. Megan is a third generation Las Patronas Debutante . Her mother, aunt and two cousins were debutantes. Her great aunt was one of the first Debs in Ventura County.
