Barbara Webster students receive learning laptops

Students at Barbara Webster Elementary School each received a free learning laptop this week. A non-profit group, Support For Kids, provided the special educational units. This group provides underprivileged and foster kids with supplemental education. They have no overhead and no staff. All money they raise is spent on children.The children were excited to get the laptops. In cases where more than one child from a family attended Barbara Webster, they received one unit for the family.One lucky child had her name drawn for four tickets to Disneyland, a $50 gas card, $100 in spending money and free parking. Alyssa Rodriguez, a 5th grade student, won that prize and said she’d be taking her younger sister, Brianna.
