Ventura County Public Health is seeking grant applications from community groups to promote “nutrition education” among low-income, Food Stamp eligible residents in the Gold Coast region of Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.
Ventura County Public Health is seeking grant applications from community groups to promote “nutrition education” among low-income, Food Stamp eligible residents in the Gold Coast region of Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties.Made possible with a grant from the California Department of Public Health, the 2007-2008 Mini-Grant Program will fund 6 to 8 projects for up to $4,999 each. A total of $26,000 is available during this funding cycle. Applications are encouraged from community based organizations, local health jurisdictions and educational institutions. Preference will be given to projects that focus on direct nutrition education and empower participants to promote environmental changes for improved nutrition.
