The Ventura County Fire Department announced today that Bill Nash has joined the department to serve as its Public Information and Marketing Officer.
His position supports the efforts of Capt. Barry Parker in working with the media for both emergency and routine public information matters, and he will also support the marketing activities of the department by helping to manage internal and external communications.Nash, a former firefighter, has spent the last nine years working in public relations, advertising and marketing for Seminis Vegetable Seeds, a division of the Monsanto Company in Oxnard, Calif.“We’re very pleased to have Bill working with us,” said Barry Parker, VCFD Information Officer. “He has lived in the county for more than 20 years and brings us a unique combination of firefighting and marketing experience.”Nash will be based at the Ventura County Fire Dept. headquarters in Camarillo, Calif. and can be reached by telephone at (805) 389-9746, cell phone at (805) 233-4659 or by e-mail at bill.nash@ventura.org.
