Santa Paula Elementary School District GATE Science Fair

The district-wide Gifted and Talented Education Science Fair was held over three days at the Santa Paula Community Center. The three day event culminated with the Awards Ceremony at Glen City School’s cafeteria on the evening of March 7, 2007. Gifted students in grades 3rd-7th worked on experiments guided by their GATE cluster teachers.Each year the GATE Science Fair is growing. This year’s event had over 250 projects, representing over 350 students.Mrs. Leslie Borchard, the GATE Facilitator, and Dr. Luis Villegas, the Superintendent, handed out the awards to a packed house. Mrs. Borchard commented, “The event was well attended with huge smiles from all participants. I am so proud of all the students and GATE teachers.
