At its meeting on December 13, United Water Conservation District swore in three members, each who ran unopposed for reelection this fall.

At its meeting on December 13, United Water Conservation District swore in three members, each who ran unopposed for reelection this fall. The three members are:F. W. (Dick) Richardson, representing the District’s Division 1, an area that includes Piru, Fillmore and Santa Paula. Richardson has been a member of United’s Board since 1996. He has a B.S. degree in Agricultural Business Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and is a Vietnam War veteran. Richardson currently serves as agricultural representative on the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Control Board, and he has formerly been chairman of the Fillmore Piru Citrus Association, director for Central Coast PCA & FLBA, member of the Fillmore Agricultural Advisory Committee, and trustee for the Fillmore Unified School District. His family settled in the area in the early 1900s, establishing farm and ranch operations. For 26 years he has operated Richardson Ranches, a citrus and ranch management operation in eastern Ventura County.Roger E. Orr, representing Division 2, which consists of the unincorporated area between Santa Paula and Ventura, the towns of Saticoy and El Rio, and portions of east Ventura. Orr currently serves as president of the Board of Directors of United. He is a native of Santa Paula, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He currently serves as president and manager of Alta Mutual Water Company, and on the Board of Directors of the California Citrus Research Board. His grandfather began farming in Santa Paula in the early 1900s, and Orr continues the family tradition as a farmer and farm manager. He has been a member of United’s Board since 2001.
Robert Eranio, representing United’s Division 3, which includes a portion of the City of Ventura. Eranio currently serves as secretary/treasurer on United’s Board. He first served on the Board of Directors from December 1998 to November 2000, representing Division 2, and he returned to the Board to represented Division 3 in December 2002. He has worked in hands-on positions in the California water industry since 1986, and holds numerous professional certifications. Eranio has participated in many local water-related projects, including the City of Port Hueneme’s Urban Water Management Plan and Hazardous Waste Collection events, the City of Oxnard’s GREAT program, and numerous capital improvement projects for Crestview Mutual Water Company in Camarillo.Also serving on United’s Board of Directors for terms that will continue through 2008 are Bruce Dandy, Division 3, representing the City of Ventura; Lynn E. Maulhardt, Division 4, representing the area northeast of the City of Oxnard; Daniel C. Naumann, Division 6, representing the Pleasant Valley area to the south and east of Oxnard; and Sheldon Berger, Division 7, representing portions of the cities of Oxnard and Port Hueneme, CBC Port Hueneme Navy Base, and several unincorporated beach communities.
