Students can learn while having fun by participating in school tours offered by Faulkner Farm in Santa Paula.

Students can learn while having fun by participating in school tours offered by Faulkner Farm in Santa Paula. The school tours feature a lesson in pumpkin growing, hayride around the farm, and a visit with the farm animals. In addition, each student will choose his or her own pumpkin to take home, and receive a souvenir pumpkin story coloring book. Teachers will also receive a pumpkin for their class.Tours are available by reservation Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the month of October. The cost is $3.75 per student and $2.75 per adult. The program is geared toward preschool to second grade students. The group size ranges from 10 to 100 students.Faulkner Farm is located at the Hansen Agricultural Learning Center, 14292 W. Telegraph Rd. in Santa Paula, just off Highway 126 at Briggs Road. The Pumpkin Patch is open daily to the public from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., October 1-30, 2005.
