Mary Anne Uhre Masterson Mary Anne Masterson of Bend, Oregon, died April 18, 2004 after an extended battle with cancer. She was 65. A funeral mass will be held Saturday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in east Ventura.Mary Anne spent most of her life as a resident of Ventura. She worked as a registered nurse at Community Memorial Hospital for 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband. She married Ralph Masterson of Ventura in 1989 and retired to Bend, Oregon.Survivors include her beloved husband, Ralph of Bend; five daughters, Kathleen Kelley (Daniel) of Santa Paula, Mary Anne Uhre of Ventura, Marilyn Hemming (Peter) of Carpinteria, Maureen Griffiths (Cody) of Ventura, and Patty Sanchez (George) of Santa Paula; and a son, Matthew Uhre (Barbara) of Simi Valley. She is also survived by four stepchildren, Kathie Tenebaum (Sam) of Merced, Ralph Masterson, III of Durango, Colorado, Karen Miller (Randy) of Dupont, Washington and Rick Masterson (Karine) of Ventura. Mary Anne was the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, five great-grandsons and one step-great-grandchild. She was also loved by her surviving brothers and sister.Mary Anne was a very open person who accepted and loved everyone for who they were. She loved her family, singing, and dancing. She had a caring heart and a ready ear for anyone who crossed her path.
